DVBC New York Trip

31 May - 2 June 2002

The DVBC has once again ventured outside of the Philly area to experience and enjoy biking camaraderie by sweating together. The biking weekend started in Media and after a winding trail ended in Durham, New York, with a spaghetti dinner seasoned by talk of the coming day's ride. Next morning the bikers awoke to a beautiful, warm Catskill Saturday, and by 9:30 am were on the road for a twenty mile warm-up before the start of the hills. Simultaneously, Danny and Kevin recorded the sixty mile effort on tape. There's nothing like six mile inclines to make a biker oblivious to everything around except the lack of oxygen, the diminishing supply of personal power and a faulting mental capacity that would cause one to ever agree to this kind of self-inflicted pain.
