On Sunday, October 3rd, the 31st Annual Marshalton Triathlon
(the oldest triathlon in America) invites the entire family to come out and
compete in this unique biking, canoeing and fast-walking race.

Race heats accommodate Ironman to Novice
classes and run
every six to eight minutes beginning at 8:30am until 3pm.
Over 2000 participants regularly compete. Businesses, families and
groups of friends enjoy reserving heats so they can run together.
The race is 10-miles long and consists of four legs;
First leg: bike race, 2.3 miles,
Second leg: canoe race, 3.0 miles (two-man canoes require a partner),
Third leg: walk race, 2.4 miles,
Fourth leg: bike race, 2.3 miles
Ironman category has unique rules that are posted on the website.
They are the only class allowed to run instead of fast-walk. If you're
looking for a fun way to spend a fall afternoon, this is it.
The quaint village of Marshallton is on Route 162, just five miles west of
West Chester. Proceeds benefit the All-Volunteer West Bradford Fire Company.

The entry fee is $30.00 per participant (includes canoe) and $60
for Ironman class (includes canoe).
Parking is $5.00.
Event T. Shirts will be available at the race.
This is not a sanctioned event. Children and Leashed dogs are welcomed.
New this year: Race packets can be picked up at the West Bradford Fire
House on Saturday, October 2nd, from 10am to 7pm. Come on Saturday and
beat the race day check-in rush.
Tour du Port, Baltimore MD. Sunday, October 17, 2004.
Experience Baltimore as never before! Join hundreds of other cyclists in
discovering the special waterfront of Baltimore by bicycle. This Sunday
morning autumn ride through the Inner Harbor, port areas, and historic
neighborhoods surrounding Baltimore's famous port is a major event on the
city's calendar. Tour du Port follows a scenic, mostly flat route well
within the ability of most novice riders. We offer the complete 22-mile
route or an abbreviated family eight-mile loop Brought to you by One Less
Car - Maryland Campaign for Bicycling & Walking, Maryland's only statewide
bicycle and pedestrian advocacy group.
On-site registration will happen from 7:00-8:30 am at Rash Field, located on
the south side of the Inner Harbor along Key Highway. Register by printing,
filling out and mailing a registration form or submitting an on-line
registration. All submissions must be postmarked by October 8, 2004. On-line
