Location, time and length will vary with weather and schedule, but at least for March and April we will start at 10:00 and aim for 30-45 miles. This is an easy going friendly ride, often with a stop for lunch. Lights are suggested, even in the daytime. No one dropped as long as you don‘t go off the front. We will kick-off the season with a ride on the Chester Valley Trail (approx 28 miles round trip). 10 a.m. departure to let it warm up a bit. We will start at the E. Whiteland Wegman‘s parking lot next to the trail (near intersection of RTE 29 and 202).

We‘ll meet at Springton Lake Middle School parking lot off Sycamore Mills Rd (near tennis courts) and depart at 10:30am to refamiliarize ourselves with the magnificent hills in the area. Expect 30-35 miles, 2000-2500 feet of climbing over 3 hours. Bring snack and water. Bio break included.

Last minute post for Saturday...Meet at Unionville Middle School parking lot 760 Unionville Rd, Kennett Square, PA 19348 for 37 mile ride. Headwinds promised, tailwinds possible. This route has gravel and hills, fun rural roads with chips, oil, cinders and the like. Recommend 32mm tires or wider. We go past the whip and may stop for a snack and coffee at farmer & co as the ride returns. We‘ll meet at Ridley Creek State Park,the upper level of the main parking lot off of Sandy Flash Drive, for a scenic adventure to Brew HaHa! on Rt. 52 in Delaware. This is a new route, as Creek Road is closed now. Expect a lot of hills--you should be in early-season hill shape--and we‘ll wait at the top of hills for everyone. Expect about 48 miles with 3100 feet of climbing. There will be a brief strip along Rt. 1 in PA, and a long strip in both directions along Rt. 52 in DE--much of which has bike lanes. Betsy‘s C+ is full and Dirk doesn‘t start the C- til next week, so what the heck? I‘ll lead a C ish ride. Once we all arrive at 320 Market in Swarthmore folks can swap rides if both parties agree. This is the typical early season delco wandering that we all enjoy so much. Rolling at 6:05 pm, after Betsy‘s group, preferably with lights, finish about 7:45 ish. Arrive early so you are ready to roll when the group goes, have time to meet your co-riders, and are able to listen to preride instructions.

Start at the Chester Valley Trail parking lot (GPS is 1055 Westlakes Drive in Berwyn, just past the Fairfield Inn). Morning Glory is a weekly C+ ride on Thursday mornings that starts at 930 and ends at noon. Rides vary from week to week but we typically aim to keep rides at 30 miles or less. Specific rides will be posted a week in advance. Most frequent starting point is Rose Tree Park but we vary starting points depending on the ride selected for each week, including some rides in South Jersey, Lancaster County, etc. Riders should bring a road/gravel/hybrid bike and spare tube.
