We‘ll meet at Ridley Creek State Park, the upper level of the main parking lot off of Sandy Flash Drive, for a scenic adventure to Brew HaHa! on Rt. 52 in Delaware. This is a new route, as Creek Road is closed now. Expect a lot of hills--you should be in early-season hill shape--and we‘ll wait at the top of hills for everyone. Expect about 48 miles with 3100 feet of climbing. There will be a brief strip along Rt. 1 in PA, and a long strip in both directions along Rt. 52 in DE--much of which has bike lanes. Bring plenty of water and $ for lunch. GPS file (which may be tweaked a bit): https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46172755

Betsy‘s C+ is full and Dirk doesn‘t start the C- til next week, so what the heck? I‘ll lead a C ish ride. Once we all arrive at 320 Market in Swarthmore folks can swap rides if both parties agree. This is the typical early season delco wandering that we all enjoy so much. Rolling at 6:05 pm, after Betsy‘s group, preferably with lights, finish about 7:45 ish. Arrive early so you are ready to roll when the group goes, have time to meet your co-riders, and are able to listen to preride instructions.

Friends, given the current forecast I’m going to go ahead and try riding tonight. There’s currently a 35% chance of light rain at some point during the ride—or maybe during all of it. But currently my weather website says that “moderate rain ends” around 7pm. So if you like taking chances, don’t mind maybe getting wet, and know how to protect your phone—I recommend a ziplock bag—come join us tonight. Bring lights for your bike and leave dark sunglasses at home. Download the gps route (named after a route we did April 2023). We’ll ride safely, have fun, and be singin’ in the rain if we have to.We leave promptly at 6pm. Please ride your bike ahead of time to be sure everything is in working order.
